About Us

The public organization “Ukrainian-American Association of Higher Education Professionals”  or the Ukrainian–American Association of College Educators is a public organization operating in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine “On Public Associations,” other Ukrainian legislation, and its Bylaws.

The Association is a voluntary organization of citizens of Ukraine and other countries, established on the basis of professional affiliation and bringing together representatives of the education profession—faculty members and administrators of higher education institutions, researchers, public figures, and others.

The association’s objectives are to establish, develop, and maintain direct international contacts and ties; to facilitate the exchange of experience and cooperation with international organizations engaged in similar activities; to organize conferences, seminars, and other events; to facilitate exchanges of delegations of young people, scientists, researchers, educators, and specialists in various fields of knowledge; and to adopt and implement the Association’s projects and programs both within Ukraine and abroad.

To achieve its mission, the Association focuses its efforts on carrying out the following key tasks:

participating in the development and implementation of various educational projects and programs aimed at creating a new cultural and educational space in Ukraine, and supporting international cooperation projects and programs in the field of higher education;

creating a professional networking environment for Ukrainian faculty members in various disciplines to interact with their colleagues abroad; promoting the exchange of information through international conferences, exchanges, internships, and training programs; and fostering scientific and cultural research and innovation;

promoting the development of cultural and educational ties between Ukraine and the countries of North America through cooperation between the Association’s representatives and international organizations, as well as participation in joint projects and programs;

– promoting cooperation among organizations engaged in similar activities at both the national and international levels, as well as facilitating the creation and formal organization of coalitions among these organizations to achieve specific goals aimed at improving the quality of professional training for Ukrainian higher education faculty and fostering their personal growth;

creating and maintaining a database of international professional experts in the fields of law, finance, culture, science and technology, education, social sciences, pedagogy, and other areas, whose advice and expert opinions may be used by all those interested in obtaining such services;

promoting the importance of English-language education in the context of Ukraine’s current socioeconomic and cultural development;

seeking financial support for educational programs and projects; facilitating research and analytical activities in the field of higher education; and organizing scientific and practical conferences, seminars, and other events aimed at improving English-language education and the training of Ukrainian faculty;

Developing and implementing joint exchange and internship programs for law students from Ukrainian universities and their counterparts from North America (the United States and Canada).

Membership in the Association

Members of the Association may be individuals or groups as defined in Section 4.3 of these Bylaws who share the Association’s principles and objectives, acknowledge and comply with the provisions of these Bylaws, meet the requirements, and are admitted to the Association in accordance with the procedure established by these Bylaws and the Association’s internal documents. Membership in the Association is both individual and collective.

Individual members of the Association may be Ukrainian citizens, foreign nationals, or stateless persons who are at least 18 years of age and who support the Association’s goals and objectives.

Collective members of the Association may include faculty groups from institutions of higher education and nongovernmental organizations that support the Association’s goals and objectives; they will operate as branches of the Association.

Members of the Association have equal rights and bear equal responsibilities.
