{"id":1816,"date":"2019-05-27T12:05:23","date_gmt":"2019-05-27T10:05:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uaace.org\/?p=1816"},"modified":"2019-05-27T12:05:23","modified_gmt":"2019-05-27T10:05:23","slug":"the-bukovel-academic-school-bass-2019-has-concluded-its-activities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uaace.org\/?p=1816&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"The Bukovel Academic School (BASS-2019) has concluded its activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The fifth international educational and training program, the Spring Bukovel Academic School (BASS-2019), entitled \u201cThe Ukrainian Educational Dimension in the Context of Integrating the National Higher Education System into the Global Academic Space,\u201d has concluded.<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Seventy representatives from higher education institutions in Ukraine, Moldova, the United Kingdom, Austria, Germany, Canada, Italy, the United States, and Japan participated in the school\u2019s activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The program\u2019s goal is to analyze international best practices in foreign language teaching, to study universities\u2019 experience working with international students, to familiarize participants with new teaching technologies in the context of the contemporary challenges of a globalized educational environment, and to implement these findings in Ukrainian higher education institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The program participants expressed their conviction that a large segment of Ukrainian society and educators are committed to joining the European and global communities in order to address global challenges and crises in both Ukrainian and international educational practice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Only coordinated cooperation with leading universities around the world and the internationalization of educational programs will yield significant results in addressing today\u2019s global educational and social challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">BASS-2019 was organized by the Ukrainian-American Association of Higher Education Professionals and Ternopil National Economic University, specifically the Department of Foreign Languages. The program was moderated by Associate Professor L. Krainyak, head of the Department of Foreign Languages at TNEU.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The event was sponsored by the International Cultural Educational Association from the United States and Vistas Canada Edu from Canada.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">We would like to express our gratitude to the program\u2019s speakers who actively participated in the school\u2019s activities: Prof. B. Pavlii (Japan), Mr. V. Shulga (Euro-Atlantic Communications), Prof. O. Mykhailenko-Bleyon (Canada), Prof. O. Rybalkina- Deytlin (U.S.), Andr\u00e9 B\u00f6hm (Germany), Esther Dexler (Austria), Prof. Richard Milton Green (United Kingdom), Prof. M. Zhuk (Ukraine),Peace Corps volunteers Glen Anderson and Sean Hicks (USA).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the participants of the school, representatives of leading Ukrainian universities from Kyiv, Sumy, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, and Ternopil, as well as guests from Moldova.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A packed professional program and a wonderful vacation in the Carpathians were the keys to success!
