However, effective communication in this context requires an understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to navigate cultural differences. This module aims to equip participants with the necessary knowledge to facilitate successful international research and education collaborations that promote cultural communication.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.intercultural.org\/\">Intercultural Communication Institute<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hofstede-insights.com\/\">Hofstede Insights<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Culture can be defined as the shared beliefs, values, customs and behaviours that characterise a group of people. In the context of international cooperation, understanding culture is crucial because it shapes people&#8217;s perceptions, behaviours, and communication styles. The importance of culture in international projects is that it determines how people interact, make decisions, and interpret information. This kind of collaboration brings together individuals from different cultural backgrounds, each contributing their own unique perspectives, knowledge and experience. In this context, success depends on the ability to navigate cultural differences and to use diversity as a strength rather than a weakness. For a better understanding of the topic, we propose to consider which leading research and educational projects contribute to the development of cultural communication and help integrate cultural characteristics into the development of international cooperation.<\/span><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The Erasmus+ programme is the quintessential international initiative promoting cultural exchange in education and research. Through its multifaceted strategies, Erasmus+ helps bring different cultural perspectives closer together, enriching the educational landscape. First of all, the programme facilitates the mobility of students and professors between continents, providing direct immersion in different cultural environments. In addition, Erasmus+ promotes collaborative research efforts by encouraging scholars to collectively explore cultural nuances. The programme also integrates intercultural competence training into its curriculum, providing participants with the necessary skills to navigate cultural diversity. By using digital platforms, Erasmus+ facilitates virtual exchange, breaking down geographical barriers and promoting intercultural dialogue.
